RSG Membership Scheme

Following discussions with the Club, the Doncaster game on the 10 September has been selected for the RSG membership winner Michael Cracknell to take his 'place on the bench'. The 'scouting trip' won by Lesley Hatfield is scheduled to take place prior to the 2007 season starting.

Paul Lakin has confirmed that he would welcome a meeting to discuss the RSG 2007 membership scheme, Sandra Foster is to make contact and arrange a meeting. The RSG are looking for a similar package from the Club as last year, £5 discount on passes, 10% discount on merchandise, prizes for membership draw etc.

It was agreed that the RSG must advertise in order to recruit members old and new for the forthcoming season. It was suggested that posters are distributed throughout the Club informing supporters on the importance of the RSG contribution and encouraging supporters to renew / join the RSG membership scheme 2007.

This years membership of the RSG runs out in November and letters to existing members are be sent out during October The cost of membership of the RSG will remain at £10

Steve Coldrick has confirmed that the programme motes for the Rochdale match have been sent. Sandra Foster volunteered at the last RSG meeting to write the programme notes for the Doncaster game. Dudley Stow has volunteered to write the programme notes for the play off match due to take place on the 24 September.

Raffles

The raffles at the home matches in July only raised £80 and £87 respectively which is down on the previous average of £100. We have potentially 3 home matches left this season and a big effort is to be made to raise in excess of £100 at each of these games. The first prize on each occasion will be a signed Australian club shirt.
The amount raised on the away coaches has been very encouraging raising on average £90

Raffles this year have contributed £3,420 to the RSG account (Total raised this year to date is £13,100 approx)

Dinner

The dinner to celebrate the success of the Club over the last ten years is still gaining momentum, unfortunately we have suffered a severe set back with the Ramada Jarvis booked for a wedding (we believed we had made a provisional booking) The Willerby Manor is also booked up for that original date. We are currently looking at the 20 January 2007 as an alternative date and have made a provisional booking at the Willerby Manor. It was suggested that the Guildhall would make an ideal venue Keith to investigate. Further information to be presented to the committee at the next RSG meeting

RSG Presentation Night

The RSG wrote to the club advising them that the preferred date for the RSG Presentation night was Friday 29 September, the Club have requested we consider Tuesday 26 September as an alternative date. The reason for the change in date is just in case we lose our first play off match and have to play on the Sunday 1 October. Reluctantly the RSG have agreed to change the date of the Presentation night to the 26 September.

Voting slips are available at all future league home matches, supporters are to be encouraged to vote. Ian Cutler is to contact Sue Hawkes regarding the catering and Russell Jones regarding the printing of the tickets.

It was agreed to contact Gwillam Lloyd for the position of MC. Entertainment was discussed and Sarah Laidlaw suggested an artist who has appeared at Craven Park before. Sarah is to make contact and report back on availability and cost prior to the Rochdale game.

The trophies are to be given to Graham Nixon for the engraving of the winners names.

Steve Coldrick is to make contact with a company with a view of sponsoring the event or at least making a significant contribution

The Club had been contacted and it is hoped that as many players and Club officials as possible will attend. A BBQ will be provided and entertainment throughout the day. More information will be available shortly.

Sarah Laidlaw had been contacted by the council and asked if the next meeting could be addressed by an employer with a view of obtaining the supporters views on the achievements of the Club throughout the season and how we would like to see this celebrated
